These factors combine to create an environment where ambition, expertise, and purpose come together.

Saudi Aramco seeks qualified graduates and experienced professionals across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Opportunities span engineering, geosciences, drilling, research and development, education, finance, law, and a wide range of administrative and support functions. Candidates with five to ten years of relevant professional experience are generally preferred, although exceptional academic or technical backgrounds are also valued.

A strong emphasis is placed on innovation and original thinking. Academic research, thesis projects, or technical studies that advance industry knowledge—particularly in oil and gas exploration, production, and energy technologies—are viewed positively. Active engagement in professional societies, industry task forces, and technical associations further strengthens a candidate’s profile, reflecting commitment to continuous learning and professional contribution.

Professional excellence is supported by a workplace culture that prioritizes safety, health, and long-term employee well-being. Comprehensive health services, structured development programs, and access to quality housing all contribute to a stable and supportive working environment. A strong safety culture underpins all operations, ensuring that employees can perform at their best within a secure and well-managed workplace.

Professional development is treated as a core priority. Continuous learning is encouraged, recognizing that individual growth directly supports organizational success. One of the world’s largest and most comprehensive training and development frameworks is administered, offering structured learning pathways, technical training, leadership programs, and professional certification opportunities.

Employees are encouraged to participate in industry societies and cross-functional task forces focused on improving standards, practices, and innovation across the energy sector. Working alongside a multinational workforce provides exposure to diverse perspectives, advanced methodologies, and the latest tools and technologies. This collaborative environment has driven numerous technical breakthroughs and innovations that continue to shape the future of oil and gas exploration and production.

Employment is offered on a permanent basis under an indefinite-term employment agreement, providing stability and long-term career security. Compensation packages are designed to reflect experience, role complexity, responsibility level, and individual qualifications. Salary structures may include expatriate premiums, supplemental benefit plans, and additional allowances intended to offset cost-of-living considerations in Saudi Arabia.

An annual, performance-based bonus is available through a broad incentive plan aligned with company and individual performance, base salary, and length of service. This program is designed to enhance organizational performance while recognizing contributions that exceed standard annual merit increases.

Allowances and Financial Benefits

An annual travel allowance is provided in cash, covering airfare costs to the employee’s home country with full flexibility in usage. New hires receive a settling-in relocation allowance during the first or second payroll cycle to assist with initial expenses.

Base salaries are reviewed annually, and subject to individual performance ratings, employees may receive merit-based salary increases. In accordance with Saudi labor law, a severance award becomes payable after two or more years of satisfactory service, calculated based on length of service and final base salary. For long-serving employees, this benefit can be substantial.

Leave, Healthcare, and Housing

Annual leave entitlements include up to 38 calendar days of paid vacation, in addition to approximately 9 to 11 national public holidays each year. Comprehensive medical care is provided through the Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare network and contracted hospitals and clinics, widely regarded among the finest healthcare facilities in the Middle East.

Quality accommodation is available within four residential communities in the Eastern Province, offering well-planned living environments and modern amenities. Alternatively, employees may choose housing outside company communities, supported by a rental assistance allowance.

Family and Lifestyle Support

Employees hired on family status may qualify for education assistance for dependent children. Options can include enrollment in company-operated private schools, international schools within local communities, or international boarding schools worldwide.

Extensive recreational facilities are available at no cost, including private beaches, fitness centers, swimming pools, golf courses, tennis courts, squash courts, and additional leisure amenities. Scheduled air-conditioned transportation is provided free of charge within residential areas, work locations, shopping districts, beaches, and between communities.

Insurance and Protection Benefits

In the event of death, an ex-gratia benefit is payable, equal to 24 months of base pay for industrial-related incidents and 12 months for non-industrial causes. Illness or injury benefits include short-term disability income protection, providing 30 days of full pay followed by 60 days at three-quarters pay within a one-year period.

A voluntary life and accident insurance program is also available, offering term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage equal to 12, 18, 24, or 30 times monthly base salary, with favorable group premium rates.

Hiring and Relocation Process

The recruitment journey is designed to be clear, structured, and supportive from initial application through arrival in Saudi Arabia. The process includes six stages: application, interview, offer, relocation, orientation, and arrival.

Applications are reviewed to assess alignment with required skills and experience. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a standardized employment application to streamline evaluation. Successful applicants are invited to interviews conducted in London, Houston, regional recruitment events, or via video conferencing.

Conditional employment offers are issued through authorized Aramco entities and include detailed compensation information. Upon acceptance, a dedicated relocation advisor assists with medical examinations, background checks, visa processing, shipment of personal belongings, and travel arrangements.

Upon arrival, support staff meet new hires at Dammam Airport, provide temporary identification, and coordinate accommodation and orientation activities. In accordance with local regulations, unaccompanied female employees arriving for the first time are escorted from immigration to their residence by a company representative.

This structured approach ensures a smooth transition into professional life at Saudi Aramco, allowing new employees to focus on building a successful and rewarding career.
